Robert Raikes Original Prototype EMILY 1987 No. 14 of 30 Made by Robert Raikes

This is
a Raikes limited edition Original Emily Bear from 1987. This Emily was 1 of 30 made by Robert Raikes as a prototype to the Emily that was produced by Applause in later years. She is No. 14/30 as inscribed by Robert on her right wooden foot pad. He signed her there and he signed her left foot with a pen years later when I saw him at my store event.
She is 22 inches tall, fully jointed. Robert made 30 different variations of Emily before the final design was chosen. He used different furs, different clothes to determine the final commercially made bear.
I bought Emily from The Bear Pawse in Prescott, Arizona. I later purchased the entire store when the owner decided to sell it.  I was a devoted Raikes collector and when Robert visited the shop I had over 80 of his bears for him to sign. I was so honored to have the opportunity to buy one of his original bears.
She has been put away all of this time, never displayed, never exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind. I paid 00 for her.
She did not come with a box or any type of certificate. The store owner at that time had no certificate for her as those were early years of Robert's designs and I am not sure he even had any then.
Emily will ship insured, Priority. She is worth it. I just want her to have a home where she will be loved and cherished as she should be. Her box will be large, so shipping
will be
