Description
This plate was used at the famous Battle Creek Sanitarium, a health resort which was located in Battle Creek, Michigan and opened in 1866 as Western Health Reform Institute. It was later run byJohn Kellogg and offered diet and therapy to its patients. BCS in green and red is located at the top of the plate with green and red circles and lines around the rim and accented in gold. The plate measures 8 inches and was manufactured, as best as I can tell, in 1912 according to the diamond impressed in the back with 10 inside by OPCO Syracuse. Some wear to the coin gold accents and a hairline on the rim, which can be seen in the photos. Thanks for looking!
